Is Tarot 100% Correct?

Introduction / My Opinion

Tarot doesn’t predict the future - it shapes our relationship to the present. It deepens our relationship to our life, and the infinite potential paths it could possibly traverse. Its power is not in accuracy, but in resonance.

Life is in constant flux, free will, and our alignment, co-creates reality. So asking “Is this 100% correct?” misunderstands the nature of both life and tarot. Can anything be specifically correct for a particular aspect of our reality? Especially if life itself is always a moving target? An undefinable experience that is faith, and belief based. Our faith, belief, and resonance are what gives it true “meaning and purpose”.. We can be "right" about a theme or pattern, while still being surprised by how it plays out. Or - Be completely wrong about a theme or pattern. Then see the meaning of the experience in hindsight.

This is how I like to do things. I try not to be right or wrong. And just do what feels best or aligned. If I want to backtrack there is usually always a way to do so. If not. I take a longer time to analyze what I'm feeling, or sensing. And still take the bold move to do what feels aligned.

From a higher perspective. There is no wrong choice in life. What creates right and wrong is our attachment to specific outcomes and realities. Most of us think - “If I make this choice, that means I might lose this thing, or this person, or this opportunity", yes, but if you make said choices. You will also experience different aspects of reality. You will have access to other people, other opportunities, other choices. Said choices may invoke certain emotions, and lessons. But that’s one of the points to life itself. Our attachment to specific outcomes creates the restriction to engaging in life itself - fully.

No matter the outcome of our choices. They are typically always the right choice. Because we learn, move forward, and always evolve in some way. The only time something becomes “wrong”. Is when our 3rd dimensional, egoic attachments, and need for certainty and survival start to override our infinite nature. Feeling comfortable in the void, and liminal space is nowadays a super power - when we were in fact - created in the void..

Tarot as a Reflective Mirror

The real power of tarot lies in what you see in it. The true nature of tarot is a reflection of our nature, and relationship to life itself. Physical reality, and non physical. The more curious, open to exploration “outside the norm”, and guidance from beyond “conventional means”, the deeper and more powerful our relationship will be with the cards. Each card is an invitation to look at our current thought patterns, beliefs, emotional undercurrents, and possibilities. It brings the messy, unfiltered, and disorganized inner dialogue to the surface, so we can see more clearly, listen, question, or redirect it.

Examples:

Pulling the 5 of Pentacles isn’t a prophecy of poverty - it might be mirroring a scarcity belief, a fear of rejection, or a pattern of neglect you’re being asked to transform.

Pulling the Death card doesn't mean someone or you is going to die. It could mean certain aspects of you or someone are going to be released. Changed. Rebirthed. Transformed.

The Moon card could point to facing difficult emotions, recognizing life cycles and patterns, diving into the shadow realm or aspect of yourself, or embracing your feminine side.

The Relationship is the Reading

The meaning of a card is co-created between:

  • The person - You, Your subconscious, your conscience, your life, your angels and guardians, your relationships, your fears, wants, needs and desires, your patterns, habits. All that is you, and comes with you.

  • The reader (if applicable) - many readers have their own relationship with the cards, some understand the general message or meaning of the specific cards, and can intuit beyond the cards directly into situations in your life without you opening your mouth or saying a word..

  • The context - Meaning what you’re asking for the cards to reveal, or give guidance on. Or the context of your life if you're not specifically asking for something to be revealed, and the context or summation of the other cards added into the entire reading.

  • The intention - Your desire for an evaluation or guidance on a question? Guidance on a circumstance? Guidance on another persons feelings? Guidance on an opportunity? Guidance for a specific path?

We absorb, digest, contemplate, meditate, and interact with a tarot reading. We don’t just simply receive a tarot reading. Tarot becomes more precise the more present, honest, and reflective we are with it. We have to understand or know the context, energy, and circumstance of our own life. What we’re asking from ourselves, or life in general at the current moment, and the cards.

Tarot as a Language for the Soul, God, Source, Universe

Tarot could relate to poetry, music, or dreams.it’s felt. The meaning of all creations and reflections are felt and interpreted through the person in which it's for, or created by. Nothing is meant to be looked at as if it's true or false. The same dream can have different meanings to different people. The same song can have different meanings to different people. The same transcript of poetry can have different meanings to different people. The interpretation is through the lens of the beholder, like how beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I deeply believe the invisible world, the intangible reality, always seeks a way to become tangible, to be known and felt through extra sensory perception. The gut. Intuition. The heart. The mind. This includes our psyche, our soul, God, universe, spirit guides. They all play their role in trying to find ways to communicate with us, whether that's us doing our own introspection, or if that's reflected through angel numbers, spirit animals, and other synchronicities such as people, places, or things. And I believe tarot cards are one of those aspects. They give form to that which is formless - your sensations, confusion, aspirations, and emotions, desires, wants, needs, internal dialogue, life paths. Instead of using pure logic to sort everything out. Which can make things more noisy.

Supernatural Prophecy?

What's ironic, or even funny, interesting, is that for most people, since the cards are related to everyone in a way that seems to prove some sort of resonance consistently - a lot of people will claim that the cards are 100% accurate, but that's because the accurateness of the cards is dependent upon the resonation between the cards and the person, like I said above. So, since certain cards are picked that usually tend to align with most people in some sort of way, this creates that sense, or logical notion of accuracy.

I feel like at least 80% or 90% of the cards I have ever pulled have been “accurate”. Now the interesting thing is that when I go back and read some of my older readings or look at some of my previous cards pulled over the last year, I will then get a new meaning from the cards, or they will relate differently to my life presently in some sort of way. Although they were pulled several months ago..

Sometimes at the moment I pulled the cards they might have resonated with me less, or they might have resonated with me differently. I feel like to an extent tarot cards will always resonate with us on some sort of level because of the interconnectedness of meaning, and because we make the meaning of the cards. Or, it’s the universal fact that each one pulls something different out of us at the time in which they are pulled..

Each card seems to pull a different insight from within us. Each card triggers something within us. Dependent upon the timing and substance of our life. Many people will say the cards that were pulled became true, or others will say the cards were true, or confirmed what was already true or known to begin with.

I also feel like keeping an open mind when looking at the interpretation of our cards is very important. Some cards shouldn't get taken so literal. As I said above, the death card doesn't mean someone's going to die. It could mean transformation or an aspect of someone or ourself could be in the midst of transformation. There's so many different ways to interpret a card, its meaning and how it relates to our life.

Tarot as Pattern Awareness

When used consistently, or ritualistically.Tarot can surface or reflect recurring emotional, mental, energetic, life, and spiritual patterns. We can begin to see themes repeating, not because the future is fixed, but because our energetic signature, or life structure is repeating itself. Tarot can become a tool for intervention and redirection, not just observation.

Conclusion pt.1

Tarot becomes a powerful divination tool not when it predicts our future, but when it reveals our present. Giving us the capacity to dive into other probable realities that could play out or manifest. The cards are not black and white truths - they are portals into higher, more well-rounded perspectives, or aligned realities. And you, not the cards, decide which path to hold on to, or to claim as your own..
